Es gab einige Perfomance-Verbesserungen für Mode 7 und Screenshots nehmen nur noch den oberen Bildschirm auf. Die Framerate kann jetzt fest auf 50 FPS/60 FPS oder basierend auf der Region der ROM eingestellt werden. Der Bildschirm kann auf 320×420 skaliert werden und der Emulator stürzt jetzt nicht mehr ab, wenn Optionen ausgewählt werden, obwohl keine ROM geladen ist. Donkey Kong Country 1 sollte keinen Anti-Piraterie-Bildschirm mehr anzeigen und der SRAM wird erst 1-2 Sekunden nach dem Speichern auf der SD gespeichert.
